Has anyone tried the Arcam 72 Cd player? I'm thinking about buying one and I can never tell for sure at auditions in the shops. Its reviews seem very good on the whole. I've heard that the transformer is loud, which I would not like at all -- no noise from the machine please! I think I can get it for 900cdn. I don't know what the exchange rate is with the pound at the moment, so I wonder if its a good deal.

Wonderful cd player, one hell of a deal for what it costs. I'd say it can compete with the $1000+ CD players out there. I hope this will boost your confidence, I've decided to get one for my father and one for myself over saving up for a Cary CD-303.

Thanks Audio. I like the new styling much better than the old Arcam curved look.

Hehe, I hate rounded curvy looks. I'm fond of sleek styles, particularly black matte, and wood finishes.
