Introducing the Dacamp L1, flagship CL1 Ceramic and CL750 from RHA

Hello, I have just placed an order for the CL1. I understand that there are two cables that comes with it. I am using my desktop amplifier to drive it. Is there anywhere I can get a mini xlr to normal-size 4pin xlr adapter so I can plug it into the balanced out of my desktop amplifier? Thanks!

That's not too bad of an adaptor to make. Look for Neutrik/Rean mini 4-pin XLR male and Neutrik 4-pin XLR male. About 1M of wire will get it done for you, then it's just soldering number to number. Paracord can be found on Ebay to wrap your cables.

Look what have i got here!

and the other side looks scratched

What is the point of this post? HeadFi is not RHA's customer service line and the CL750 has a 3 year warranty. There will be headphones that come out with a cosmetic flaw. In my opinion, HeadFi is not the place to take this up. Send your pictures to RHA or your retailer and sort it there.

  This product sure looks interesting!

Increased my curiosity !

I think my favourite of the bunch is the CL750. I will be writing a review for it down the line.

Bought a Dacamp L1 earlier today. I'm loving it so far.

I'm using it with RHA T20i.

Can anyone coment on how the CL1 are compared to the T20's?

Looks intriguing.
Is there any cable for Sony MDR-Z7 to utilize its balanced audio capability?
I've been looking for 4 pin mini XLR female to dual 3.5mm male headphone cable.

RHA hasn't made converter cables yet for the balanced jack, yet. I'm hopeful that RHA will do this soon--I've been on there rep about getting it done. I would also emphasize that I didn't feel the output was strong enough for the HD600 when I utilised it out of the balanced jack using a DIY adaptor 4 pin mini XLR to 4 pin XLR. I wouldn't expect it to handle anything with more driving needs than the HD600 well. It will do a lot of headphones well, but there are limits to what it can do.

They have what you're looking for. The Amplifier Connection Option is called "Mini 4pin Female switchcraft XLR for RHA Dacamp L1".

At 300 Ohms, that's to be expected I guess. It should work well with my MDR-Z7 which has only 70 Ohms of impedance.

Omg, you're a lifesaver! Thanks!

It is also worth noting that adaptors are incredibly cheap to make for mini-4pin XLRs. I had 4 made for about £50 by a friend. The mini-4pin is an incredibly stable and good connection, not a bad choice at all for termination. The engineers at RHA did a good job picking it as the termination. It is also really simple to solder as if you buy Rean/Neutrik the pins are numbered and you can just match number to number for XLR type connections for mini-XLR to full size.

Just posting that I acquired the CL1 yesterday, an a whim.
I have been looking for a TOTL in ear to improve on my beloved Etymotic ER4 and 4XR.
The current front runners are Noble Katana and Final Audio FI-BA-SST, so mostly on the neutral side.
But as we keep hearing about the next best thing (for me that could be the Dita Dream, or, but less likely, the Tia Fourte) I put my purchase on hold until I can try those.
So as I decided to quench my gear thirst with something more exotic sounding (to me).
Based on comments around here I isolated 2 candidates: the CA Vega and the RHA CL1, two V shaped sounding in ears however focusing on bass and treble respectively.
It did not take a long listen for me to remove the Vega from the list as the bass is, for me, overwhelming, especially listening to metal.
At first, I was not sure about the CL1 either, the mids are recessed compared to what I am used to (mids are key for opera, which is the genre I listen to the most)

I decided to pull the trigger nonetheless and 24h later I am a happy owner.
I tried them in store with the ZX2, which needs to be pushed for good volume, especially on DSD tracks. Stacking it now with the old PHA-2 amp (had not used it for more than a year), all the qualities of the CL1 can shine without losing mids;... and I love those trebles!!!

I would recommend anyone trying those earphones to make sure they bring along proper amplification.
I might myself upgrade my amp (to something technically better) or DAP (to something more powerful).

to me it sounds way better than mojo and i have absolute control of bass and treble, one of the best purchases i made, it drives my lcd2 and oppo pm1 with such an ease which really surprised me, i thought my lcd2 would sound ok but man with dac/amp L1 it drives my audeze with full authority which i really really like, i barely reach 40% volume on my lcd using it
