Lcd2 2016 vs lcd-x comparison

The LCD-X is on sale now on Audeze's website. I am certainly confused on the widely differing opinions between the LCD models and even within the same LCD-X family. Some say it is lean and fast...others say it sounds worse than the LCD-2. Maybe it's the fact that the LCD-X is black instead of the warm wood color that subconsciously influences the opinion of these....
