Hi;

I have a Fiio X3 Gen1 and V moda M80, mainly listen pop, rock, outdoor;
Have some money wanna spend;

would like to try home system with around USD150;
what can be my options?

I don't want to touch the PC as I don't think the existing PC audio output is good, that is an onboard chips doing the job only.
So adding a DAC is not an good option, am I right?

Also, adding an desktop or portable amp seems also not necessary as M80 is not a headphone hard to push.

any other option and will it be a significant SQ improvement?

Many thanks

You want to upgrade the home audio system, but not buy anything to drive the M80. But you have the M80, which for the most part, doesn't need any help. I assume you just plug in the M80 into the computer.

You don't really have any moves from that point and you're just itching to spend. Don't. Keep the money. It seems like you have extra now, but something might happen later - like equipment failure (not just audio) and you'll be glad you have that $150 or more lying around.
