What if I don't have proof of purchase, can I show you my certificate of authenticity?

Is there any posibility for current HE-1000 owners to just get the upgraded earpads and/or grill? A lot of people won't be selected, and some won't like the process of sending them abroad again (like me)

@TeamHiFiMAN

If we can buy the earpads or/and grill,  Have you tested the new earpads on the old revision? Given that they have a thicker ear cup, I wonder if that would be detrimental to comfort.

Thank you

Free lunches do happen. HFM rocks.

I'm sure you are the type who bought a lottery ticket and immediately start acting like a millionaire?

It's only a free lunch when you get to eat it!

Granted, HFM owe us nothing and this is a nice gesture from them, but only a token one nevertheless after the storm that they have created by announcing the V2. But...3 units per month out of the thousands that they've sold? this is a lottery indeed and but still some guys think they have got a free lunch? LoL

It doesn't matter if I get or not get the lucky pick. Someone is getting free upgrade. HFM has taken up suggestion to give FREE upgrade to existing owners. If their business bottom line does not allow for them to do so for every owner, they have chosen to do so for some. Which other headphone makers give free upgrade opportunity like this? And LoL some people have not name the price that they will pay for the upgrade because they are skeptical that HFM can give free upgrade.

And it is odd to find such people in the queue for free upgrade opportunity that they said wouldn't happen.

  @TeamHiFiMAN I have just a couple of questions.

1. Does the upgrade cost anything? If so, how much?

2. If I originally participated in the HE1000 beta program, how would I go about showing proof of purchase? I didn't exactly buy from any store in that case (it was more of a direct transaction with Hifiman, not even through the Hifiman store).

Thank you for your question, please wait for a while.
I will ask our manager about your question.

1. This time is a free update, don't worry. Who will be the lucky dog~
2. We have the list of beta program participant, so you can email us and tell that you are the HE1000 beta participant.
Then we will check. Thank you for your kindly understanding.
