I im looking to take advantage of my portable dac/amp (fiio q1) but i want to use the dac in the fiio rather than just using the amp via 3.5mm. So i have read about the apple lightning to camera ub adaptor but looks like with updates and everything looks to be very spotty with working. I have also seen the lightning to micro usb adapter but same results looks like people say it doesnt work. Now could i use my charging cable lightning to usb and then get a usb female to micro usb male to the amp? Would that work? Any advice is great

I use apple lightening to usb adapter and then micro-usb to connect to Fiio E7, and it works great without issues. It has never caused any problems over the past two years with any of the apple updates. Just have to disable the USB charging in the DAC/AMP, otherwise it wouldn't work with iphone.
