Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

So finnally it will not work as a digital transport to connect my Chord Mojo or iFi micro iDSD with a USB OTG cable with the M1 right? Because I understand this sentence that only the M1 itself can be used as USB DAC on phones or computers through OTG functionality.

With as much interest as there is from the Mojo crowd this would be good to nail down. I'm also interested in stacking with my Mojo so hopefully it is a possibility.

Yes, I think we need to wait a few weeks for release than we can try all USB DACs we want to check if it works or not. If it works (I really hope!) my only fear are USB glichtes with buffer sizes and other stuff which can happen on USB transport. With coax or optical (sometimes 96 to 192 kHz problems with cables or reviever), it is almost complete trouble free plug & play and enjoy.

I (among others) would still like to know where we could order the unit in the first place!

Up to microSD 200 GB. But I will test with a microSD to SD adpater 256 und 512 GB full size SD cards as well, I'm very sure it will work formatted as FAT32 and in folder mode, because my old Sansa Clip+ can handle this storage capacity (tested with 256 GB) as well in folder mode and this player was years ago made before any large microSD or SD card exists.

I have few questions. will it have digital out via USB only ? like Android wit USB audio player pro allows the dac's internal clock to pull the data from Android will m1 do that so ? will it have inbuilt driver to allow for that or will it depend upon app like Uapp ? I am very much interested in this device if it allows asynchronous transfer because I found USB input to mojo and hugo more fluid may be due to asynchronous transfer.

When can we preorder? Or will you just release it? You said late September for release so I suppose you mean last week of September, right?

1. Yes M1 have digital out via USB only.

2. M1 supports asynchronous transfer and you don't need extra setting.

Thanks.

The official release will be in around 20th September and it may take some time for the goods to reach to our dealers.

You could check our website to search for your nearest dealer.
