FW1.11 will be released on 11.25. Thanks.

Happy accident! My shipping had problems so I have changed my order back! @Shanling your prompt updates great! Could you confirm whether "high-quality bluetooth" is APTX??

@Joseph Lin looks like I have hope of joining the stacking club one day. Does the E12 connect via USB for DAC to your M1?

Happy Thanksgiving!

No, E12 is an AMP, not a DAC so you cannot connect via USB. I connect M1 to E12 through Phone Out thus double amping. I set the M1 to max output volume to 20/100 otherwise it will be too loud. This is my budget "mid-fi" portable setup and it sounds really good and sometimes out performs some of my mid-range gears. It provides enough juice to drive my HD650 with some degree of satisfaction. It is still not comparable to my desktop setup but good enough for on the go.

Ah I see. So that means you are using the low gain mode when amping right? If I'm not amping but outputting to a car stereo for example should I use low or high gain?

Shanling Does the Bluetooth high quality=APTX? Also will you have a firmware update that supports Replaygain ,and allows the 3.5MM headphone out to also function as Line Out like Fiio X1 II?
If you have LO too your M1 really will be the smallest and mightiest DAP around :)

It depends on your stereo. For car, since I am not driving a BMW or Acura, but a puny Prius, I use bluetooth if that makes sense.

I see! Nah you're saving the world  BTW check out car prices in SG after taxes a Corolla costs easily more than a Porsche in the US (100+K SGD). If I don't use Bluetooth and connect to a crappy car audio should it be high or low gain? May be renting a 2007 Yaris in a month's time

Yes Bluetooth high quality is AptX. Replaygain will be added in the future version. It was a pity that LO is not possible on M1.

Thanks.

Awesome that Replaygain will be added. A lot of us love that feature, myself included. I used to Rockbox my old skool DAPs to get Replaygain functionality. I'm glad it's making its way into modern DAPs.

I've been very satisfied with M1's Bluetooth capabilities so far. I don't use it for Bluetooth headphones, but I do connect to my OnePlus 3 via Bluetooth if I want to stream some music. My OnePlus 3 doesn't sound very good via the Headphone Out jack, but Bluetooth Out to the M1 sounds great and the ability to go wireless is nice!

My cable should arrive fairly soon as they've arrived in the US and are currently en route to where I live.  I look forward to hearing how the M1 pairs with Mojo.

Nice thanks for the reply! No worries about LO as USB out is a much better function that all those with Mojos out there would agree

Look forward to downloading the FW and receiving my M1 :D

Got the M1 today. Just under 2 weeks for delivery from Aliexpress.

The M1 is bigger than I thought it would be. Nice in the hand.

Scroll wheel a bit imprecise but easy to use.

Upgraded to 1.10 without issue.

Shanling a feature suggestion:

Could your engineers look at something like the Fiio X1 II car mode?

When you enable car mode and plug in to USB, the DAP will run directly on USB power and bypass the battery. This is good for long drives or even on a flight with USB charger so you don't strain the battery.

If the hardware makes it impossible to bypass the battery, I hope there is a software function to stop charging once it's full? I will be using this on a few long trips once I get it, and foresee myself plugging it in most of the time as my laptop's DAC too

Thank you! Waiting eagerly for the 1.11 FW download link :D
