500+ Head-Fier
So here's the acid test for me: Are the Sines good enough that I am willing to commit to them by actually selling some of my other headphones? After a couple of months of listening, the answer is yes for the following reasons:
1) They provide a great mobile solution to listening on the go from my iPhone 6 with Cipher cable - really good sound and one cable convenience. They are the first headphones I reach for when I get the urge to listen to Tidal HiFi or DSD files.
2) My home system takes several minutes to warm up (see below), so it misses out on the immediate gratification of the Sines + Cipher + iPhone
3) When I added the Brainwavz HM5 earpads, the Sines went from tolerable to very comfortable. Interesting how comfort changes the equation so dramatically.
So the combination of really good sound, plug and play convenience, instant on and comfort have made them my go-to headphones for casual and mobile listening. [I still use Bose QC-25s on the plane, however]
I am so confident in the Sines, that I am selling most of my other great headphones
