Has anyone tested the Beoplay h5

In the manual, B&O advice to use the silicon tips for relaxed listening at home (I'll have the cable in front of the neck for that). For physical activity, they recommend using Comply tips. For me, the medium sport tips give me the most secure seat. The H5 still feel like they are falling out any moment, but they don't. At least not during the two hours of vigorous weightlifting workout I did yesterday. The only thing is... Due to the porous nature of the sport tips, the bass response is horrible and the H5 sound overly bright. Using the B&O Play app mostly resolves that problem. Switching to the "workout" preset almost makes the H5 sound like my beloved UM3x. Nice.
I just ordered some Comply TX 200 for better isolation and bass response. Curious how that will turn out.

where did you find a manual? Mine didn't come with one and online I could only find the quick guide.

Had a small booklet in my box. Not a real manual, yes. Rather a quick start guide. And I made a mistake! I haven't found the statement in the guide, but online on the product page:

"These rugged and breathable tips create a near perfect, protective grip in the ear canal that is ideal for exercise or life on the go. And for relaxing with your favourite tunes, four pairs of silicone tips provide a relaxed, comfortable fit."

Today or tomorrow I should get my Comply tips! More in-depth impressions then.

Went out running with them today. I used the Comply sport tips, the sound is degrading and similar to the Shure SE215 then, but good to hear cars coming. The fit is ok, the earphone got loose on my left ear three times on a 4km run, but was fixed fast with pushing them back into the ear channel, other in-ears behave similar in that way though. It's not a issue, my left ear channel is a little wider than the right one and too big for the large tips.

I'm wondering why you guys have so much problems with the cable. I was afraid, that it could be an issue, but I heard no scratching from the cable, nor did it pull out the headphones, the issue I had came from sweating and the movement.

And I listened to a couple songs with the ATH-M50x on and the H5 and compared the sound. I learned that the ATH has a problem with the left ear (maybe it's just mine). The H5 is giving me more details from left to right. The sound appears to be fuller/wider.

I'm wondering how B&O is managing that. I heard they are single drivers, but more similar to the Sennheiser IE800, than it's cheaper counterparts. And in the price range of two way driver in-ears. I'm impressed and confused at the same time. How did they achieve this result?

The cable is just too thick, stiff and heavy and as the tip stems are so short some of us can't get a deep enough insertion to counteract the weight of the cable.  Over the ear are always more secure for me anyway, people are just different that's all.

Any updates on fit and usability with the comply Tx 200s?
yep! Using the Tx200 improved sound, comfort and fit tremendously. Not including them right away was a great mistake by B&O and I'm thinking about writing them an email about this topic. So while the H5 sound pretty good with the silicon tips (and just awful with the included sport tips aka Comply S200), using the Tx200 brings the sound to another level. Sharpness in the highs will be tamed, bass response will improved and isolation will be much better. During hours of vigorous activity (including running, explosive strength training and a lot of sweating), the H5 sat comfortably and safely in my ears.

Immense! Thanks very much. Would love to hear from others with the TX200 tips too. Edging toward a purchase...

Same thing happened to me when the battery went low.  I thought they were broken and it was driving me crazy trying to figure out why.  It appears to be a feature since I read about it in a review.  If it is, it's a stupid feature.  I echo the sentiments that the Tx200s are the fix for fit and sound issues.  My experience has not been as good as Asspirin's in terms of exercise.  With the Tx-200, I can comfortably lift weights and do stationary cardio (elliptical, stairmaster, bike) but they do not stay put for me when running.  For me, that's good enough as I have other alternatives for running.

These just don't sound that great. I just wasted too much money on a meh sound. The app doesn't add very much. The rbh epsb is 120 cheaper and the sound and volume is way better. Miles better. These are terribly uncomfortable too and the rbh are super light and comfy. The be6i are a second runner up as well but rbh has more detail. So much detail it will wow you. Try it. You'll thank me. Wish I could return as I bought these at an airport. So disappointed. I don't know where this great sound is supposed to be. It is clear. But you get no volume, no bass, and just okay detail and separation. So far rbh epsb is the best wireless earbud on the market.
