Hi! I'm a little new to this whole audio setups thing, so I'm in need of a little guidance. I bought a turntable and an amplifier on eBay, and when I connect the turntable to the phono connections, sound only comes out of one speaker.

Things I tested:

- Using an optical input with another source, everything works okay, so it's not the speakers' fault.
- Swapping the phono cables. Sound keeps coming out of the same speaker, so it's not the turntable's fault, as the cables are transmitting separate channels.
- Using other inputs that use the same connection such as "CD". Sound comes out too faint, but from both speakers.

Any suggestions for this?

Thank you in advance.

Get an external Phono pre-amp and plug the turntable in to that, then in to the CD input on the amp, as it sounds like a problem with the inbuilt phono pre-amp of your amplifier.
