LZ-A4 Impressions and Discussion Thread

Got mine, in Taiwan. Directly bought from LZ

A4 to A3s (black).

A4 is smooth (blue front and red back).

Buy a new mmcx cable if you can afford it. That would be a big difference.

Why? Stock cable is fantastic.

Sorry for my poor English.
I discussed with LZ himself on taobao. He think the right black cable would be great for LZ A4
That one is 8-wired silver coated copper. How much "N" I don't know.
I made left cable with my own favorite OCC 8-wired cable.
silver coated copper wire on LZ A4 is strong. I personally love light sound.
The stock cable is good, but not good enough.

For more comparison on A3s and A4. I would say
A3s gives more "directly" sound. Everything on A3s sounds so clean and exciting.
A4 gives "comfortable" sound. (I choose 10-35000 Hz setting.)
Obviously the women voice on A4 is better. Like those old ATH style.
Bass punch on A4 is deeper than A3s.

How you compare the soundstage and instruments separation/placements with A3s,???

I had the 8-line pure silver cable before with A3 and A3S and as it was quite thick the cable itself was the earhook (LoL).
Great for stopping IEMs bobbing around vs thin cables. The stock cable is the best provided cable I've see so far, cinch and better Y-split, no microphonics for me and good finish on the cable, not much memory/tangle.

I'm usually a purist for cables, either pure occ copper or pure silver (budget level ali stuff though)... but so far I've not detected any sibilance/brightness/roughness/edginess ...whatever... in the SQ presentation....

Going over-ear as always, I flipped the left and right IEMs to the opposite side cable mmcx plugs...not necessary, but I like the way they sit with my lugs ears for long-term listening. After a good few hours with them on a bus, I just left them in to block the white noise.

Jumping between red/red and red/black just now.
I think red back-plate will stay anyway, as I love my low-end and would not want to throttle it with a more neutral or rolled off back-plate.

Searching google for this phrase will find the cable "High Quality Sterling Silver Earphone Upgrade Cable 8 Cell" as the seller cannot be mentioned directly on H-Fi now I think....
Stock cable is high quality though, no microphonics for me either.

On the Taobao page, it's said that back vent is for tuning bass(red>black>Blue), nozzles for mid/high (blue: bright; black:default;red:pop).

For me black cover is the choice. For nozzles, I like blue for female singers whose voice is thinner, red for thicker and richer tone.

Nice, generally I like a thicker/fuller presentation after using Audeze LCD-2 for 2 years.
I appreciate immersive musicality over analytic presentation style....as long as the micro-detail, depth and dynamics are there.
