Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster. Currently own a Hifiman HE-400i paired with a Resonessence Herus and a Schiit Lyr with matching Gold Lions. Also have a set of RE-400 IEMs for gym and general airplane/travel use that just go straight out of my phone. The Lyr stays at home but the Herus usually comes with me and runs off my computer while at the office.

Speaking of which, I've been looking for a pair of closed headphones that would work well for the office and have narrowed it down to the subject line based on reading through the threads here and other reviews. What are other's thoughts and recommendations on them? I really do like the "planar" sound, for lack of a better term, from the Hifiman's and Audeze's I've demo'd but the Meze have me interested as a fun alternative, especially for the office. Having a mic is a plus as I can double its use for phone conferences. Also, if they come bundled with a travel case, makes the value prop even better.

As such, the Oppo PM-3 has been on my list for quite some time but with the release of the Sine and the incoming reviews, I'm on the fence with them. Then along comes the Meze Classic 99 where some members, having owned some combination of the above headphones, have mentioned how much they are enjoying the Classic 99. The reviews, are also complicating this a bit. So, here's a quick Pros/Cons list I compiled for myself.

Oppo PM-3
Pros - Comes with Android mic/remote variants, well reviewed, scales with better equipment, comes with travel case, could be had for a cheaper price on used market, efficient enough to be driven off a phone if need be.

Cons - Reviews compared to the Sine and Meze are mixed.

Audeze Sine
Pros - Scales with better equipment, well reviewed, Audeze house sound (supposedly)

Cons - Doesn't come with travel case, doesn't come with a mic/remote for Android, new so less opportunity to find on 2nd hand market

Meze Classic 99
Pros - Well reviewed and 'fun', comes with a travel case, works well off a phone, comes with mic, efficient enough to be driven off a phone

Cons - Unknown servicing process considering they are based in Romania, not sure if they scale well with better equipment, comfort concerns?

Would appreciate any thoughts or opinions from those who have owned some of these before or, can compare to the HE-400i.

Thanks
