Hello everyone. This is my first post in the forums.

I have owned two pairs of ttpod t1e's in the last couple of months. Both ended up breaking because of the solder on the 3.5 mm jack.

I was just wondering if anybody could help out a plebian with some recommendations.

I definitely do not want over ear headphones because I they ruin my hair and I will be using these during my commute. I prefer iems.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and that is what I will be using them with primarily. I honestly do not want to use them with an amp. They do not need to be unbreakable because I will treat them well.

But, I would like them to be hardy enough to use while I ride a bicycle.

I have been eyeing the Shure se215, but I just read a post where a user **** all over them and called them garbage. He actually compared them to the stock iPhone earphones.

The 215's detachable cable is the real reason why I want them. I lost my last 2 pairs from the cable crapping out and I don't want to have to solder to repair my iems.

I don't know if I should pick up the se215's because of the isolation. It seems like excellent noise cancelling would be dangerous while biking in Manhattan.

Thank you in advance for your help and advice. I look forward to being apart of this community!

I will generally be listening to pop, rap, hip hop, edm, classical, and vocal heavy songs [example: opera (but not necessarily opera)]

I do like bass, but I find a lot of headphones I have used make the bass too "muddy" Idk how to explain what I am trying to say. But, I definitely do not want just bass like a pair of Beats by Dre.

The 215's Are definitely a step above the stock earpods but it is not a night and day thing. Most inear headphones are going to give you a lot of noise isolation. Check out the Yuin pk2 they are a ear bud headphones like the stock Apple. But sound much better. Not a lot of noise isolation but that could be a good thing for you
