Hi guys this is my first post. I just got into headphones and know diddly squat. I do have some highend home 2 ch tube and solid state rigs. Here is my question. I want to give the Popo pm 3 headphone a try. I would like to induce dome tube magic on them. I was looking at a darkvoice 336se. What happens if I run a 26ohm headphone on a 32 ohm rated amplifier?? Will it work? Will it sound ok. Please any advice will be appreciated. And as I said I know jack about all this headphone stuff. The reason I want closed back is because I will be using around other people.

Tube amps are not always idea for planar headphones because they can sound noisy at times if you are not careful. This is due to the high output impedance of the tube amp coupled with the low impedance of the planar headphone. If you are expecting to enter audio nirvana with a tube amp because of possible flaws either in your headphone choices or music I can assure you that it will not help.
