Hi Head-fi'ers 
 
I have a question that I hope one of you may be able to help with ... 
 
As it is I'm in the process of completing a pair of headphones which has a size similar to the Sennheiser HE90. To this end I am looking for some quality ear pads which resemble those of the HE90. Also, besides seeking advice on these particular ear pads, I would much appreciate if one of you could help with a link to a webshop that in general sells what is considered quality ear pads.

Do you have dimensions or pictures of the headphones? You gotta get something you know will fit.

Hi ... An approximate estimate of the size is that it is an oval and has a horisontal inner opening of ~ 65 mm and then appr. 105 mm on the outside. Vertical dimensions would be appr. 95 mm inner opening & 135 mm on the outside. It looks very similar to the pad on the image attached.

Well depending on where you're located you can try Amazon. Searching for "headphone pads" brings up a ton of results including this:

Looks very similar to the HE90's. 
 
That or you could try Lunashops and see what they have there.

... thank you for your reply and suggestions. I've looked at the link you posted and it could be interesting .. I may choose to cut out the foam between the driver unit and the ear but apart from that they look very interesting. I've also noticed elsewhere here on head-fi that - if I'm not mistaken (?) - these pads appear to be quite well regarded. And they happen to be available in amazon's UK shop which is feasible as I live in Denmark ... 
 
About Lunashops it also looks as if they have some pads that may fit this size. And it looks as if they ship from China which - depending on the price - often is also feasible when importing items into Denmark.
 
So many thanks for your feedback  I reckon I now have some options to start out with.
