This would be the best place to look for all things AK jr. In my opinion the biggest selling feature of the junior is the size, most of the higher end DAP's are borderline non pocketable. A lot of people seem to have issues with the user interface but I thought it was fine the few times I tried it out although there is apparently more interface lag on higher res files. It kind of depends on what your needs are, if you are just looking for a device to play back music without tons of bells and whistles, it's  pretty good.

As for headphones to pair with it, check the thread above, there should be lots of suggestions in there

Fiio X5ii,X7, Onkyo DP-X1, Questyle Qp 1R, Aune M2, Sony ZX2,.  Depends on how much you're willing to spend and carry around. Headphone recommendations might be Oppo PM-3, Meze 99, again depending on budget and intended use.

I was trying AK Jr with Beyerdynamic Custom Street and they were matching super together. So in your budget, in your music, portable, with comfort and good isolation.
