Hi,
I want to buy a set of speakers for my laptop and I am confused between 2.0 and 2.1 system. My primary concern is music and a bit of YouTube and movies. Budget is around Rs. 10000 or $130.
Thanks.

For a $130 (Rs 1000), might try to find a used Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speaker set.

Can you suggest any other alternative as these are not available in India. Thanks.

Have no idea what is available in your area.
Maybe Dayton Audio or Pioneer speakers, both are considered good sound quality, for their price.
Would need to get a speaker amplifier to drive them., here in the USA a decent and low cost one would start around $30.

I have the following available in my country:
2.0 speakers:
1. Swans D1010mkii
2. Swans D1080IV
3. M audio B5X D2

2.1 speakers:
1. Swans M10
2. Logitech Z623

The speakers should be good for music and movies with good mids and tight, punchy bass.

I have the Monoprice 5" studio monitors, which are thought to be almost the same as the M-Audio BX5a.
And I really like my Monoprice monitors.
But i would assume unless you found the BX5 D2, used for a really good price, they are over your budget.

I don't know but I am getting the BX5 D2 at ~ Rs.9500: Link

What about the JBL control one {available for Rs.7990 ($120)}. Also suggest any suitable amplifier to go with it. Thanks.
