So I have this old SX-680 receiver that has been collecting dust for the last 15 years. I just pulled the cover off to inspect it and it looks to be in surprisingly good condition I dont think it was ever used very much. I also have this old mid 90s Aiwa receiver that I have been using with my headphones HD558s and after taking the cover of the 80s pioneer it looks to be FAR higher quality than the Aiwa which looks like it was put together by a monkey, some caps are bent over, the soldering is horrendous, the big caps are junk capxon caps and they are much smaller and fewer than on the pioneer. So I was considering using the pioneer instead of the aiwa. My question is are there any parts that need to be replaced after 30+ years? Caps look good but they are probably original.
