LZ-A3 Impressions and Discussion Thread

How is build quality on these? Any need for amplification?

Two parts. The earphones themselves look quite robust. While the detachable cable seems to be a bit weak to withstand the weight of the earphones. LZ is finding a way to resolve this problem. For those who don't have the DIY ability, I suggest you should wait for half a month until this problem being solved.

Amplification will significantly improve the sound quality.

How's the isolation on the A3?

There're lots of accessories. The ear tips I am using can't provide the best isolation. I guess isolation will be better using foam type ear tips.

I guess I could replace the cable as its a MMCX connector, maybe with some linum cables?

Guys!

not really adding much new to the thread - LZ-A3 still at the same shipment status - but!

In anticipation I thought let me listen a bit more to the LZ-a2 (with a small a not capital) connected to my Cavalli Audio Liquid Carbon - my goodness.

Goosebumps with some songs, didn't have that in a long time. Totally thrilled.

What a combination.

Cheers!!

Be patient. They're worth waiting for. LZ is improving the connector and the cable. It may take some time. I've shipped mine back to him, too, as he asked the early buyers to do so. He is very responsible.

i thought about getting a pair too, so youre saying i should wait till they improve the cable and the connectors?

I have heard something to that effect and so my unit was delayed as well but kudos to him for owning up to it and fixing it.

From the message That I got, it's just the Connector ON the Cable. They will be shipping out another replacement cable if you don't send it back. One of the reasons I dont care for removable cables.

Here is the important portion of the message that was sent to me regarding the problem:

.....I'm so sorry to tell you, there is an urgent problem about LZ A3,the cable connectoer (mmcx place) is not ok,and now the manufacturer have slove this problem, the new cable will come out 10 days later, and all the orders have ship out before will resend a new cable with tracking NO.,sincerely apologize for this situation;also,if your LZ-A3 have any problem, you can send back to us,we will resend a new one to you,and we will offer all the shipping cost.....

If you have other earphones with MMCX connector cables just use them until the new replacements arrive. Problem solved.
