I recently got an electronic drum kit and wanted to get some headphones to use with it to get the highest quality, crisp sound I can get out of it, but also wanted some good ones for music listening in general.

I bought a pair of Audiotechnica M-40s due to all the great reviews I've seen on them and the M-50s, but when I got them, I was confused and really quite annoyed at how ridiculously painful they were even after a minute of wearing them. Just to sit there with them on for 5 minutes was unbearable, the headband really hurt the top of my head despite most reviews stating they were comfortable for hours. My head isn't really a weird shape but didn't agree with these obviously. I wasn't particularly impressed with the sound either, good but not great. I ended up sending these back as they weren't bearable to wear.

After that experience I became really paranoid that every high-rated pair of headphones I see that aren't super padded and lightweight will be uncomfortable.
I'm basically looking for some headphones that will stay on my head while drumming, sound very crisp and have good clear sound, are fairly lightweight for comfort reasons and are reasonably durable. My budget is around £150 but would be happy paying £50-100 for a pair as long as they met the criteria, I don't want to overspend just for indoor listening and drumming. Also, I'm just looking for a well-balanced sounding pair but maybe with a slightly powerful bass to make music more enjoyable to listen to.
I have since considered the V Moda M100s but heard they can be quite uncomfortable and are pretty heavy so not sure if they'll work for drumming.
Hoping to get some good suggestions from you guys :)
Thanks in advance
