That sucks.

I know these are sold in matched pairs (also confirmed from my measurements) and replacing just one might not be the best idea.
You better shoot Elleven Acoustica a email.

I mailed Chris and he wasn't just good, he was great. Sounds like it's going to be worth checking into the Elleven website in the next few days or so ... it's a bad time to be trying to limit the amount of headphones you've got. Either way, I won't have a broken Ypsilon for very long.

No need Sir, Chris @ Elleven is already taking care of things.
Very exciting stuff coming from Elleven Acoustica - there's going to be three drivers available: Ypsilon, Ypsilon S2 and the Epsilon R1.

I sense a 6th headphone build incoming :frowning2:

Ooh I'm interested. When are they being released? Any descriptions on how they will compare or sound different than original Ypsilon driver?

I don't know about the pads on the R1, but I can talk with great authority on how it feels to break a regular Ypsilon ...

Lol! I fubar'd an sr325 and magnum v4 driver. Man it blows!

In my storied history of modding I think I have actually only ever destroyed an SR60 pink driver. And a pair of Koss KSC75...but I don't think that counts. Trying to remember if there were ever any other victims...

So far the worst thing that happened to me was the solder pad popping off an SR80 driver whilst I was attempting to liberate it from the plastic inner cup, unwisely using a hair dryer
[the next person I showed it to popped it out with a screwdriver within a couple of seconds...]
