I listed almost exclusively to 24bit/96khz music and I would like to upgrade from my current Bayerdinamic T51p cans.
There are amazing headphones but I think I would like more soundstage, openness.

My usage is mostly at the office, so comfort is a must as well: more than 5h listening per day.

I really appreciate your suggestions:)

What genres do you listen to?  The Audio Technica ATH-A900X can be found for under $200, and is one of the most open sounding closed back headphones for that price.  It's comfortable enough for long listening sessions.

SoundMagic HP-150.

Now I'm listening to Kenny Barron & The Brazilian Knights and they are fantastic.
Believe me, for what cost are outrageous. They are beautifully finished and are downright comfortable. They are also folding and the package you get a hard case for storage or transport.

I had NAD Viso HP50, Audeze XC, Fostex TH600 and I can honestly say that they are good, regardless of price. Obviously I will not say they are better, or even equal to the XC, but the reason for selling them was just listening to these SoundMagic. I did make a lot of things, because not understood headphones that are 10 times cheaper, could be so close and  enjoy myself the same thing.

Cheers

If you want an open sound stage I would not describe the 770 as open. I have them and cant compare to the other headphones recommended in this thread. but I can confirm what you will find in reviews. The sound stage on them is not very big. They are very comfy and good isolation.

The DT-770 are very good headphones in this price range. They have a higher profile in V, prominent bass and treble voices and delayed. If you like the profile on, because they are excellent. But if you want something more balanced, I would call U-profile, I would go for the HP-150 without hesitation. Very good punch in bass, treble great extent, but the vocals are more present than in Beyer.

Probably the FA003ti for $200.

But you might want to try the RBH HP-2 if you can return it:

So I got the DT-770-PRO 32Ohm and I am not impressed to say the least: a bit muddy to my ears and the soundstage is not the great either.

I am still looking for something else :)
