Sony MDR1A earpads | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

The stock MDR1A pads are synthetic leather and they get too hot. Has anyone found cooler pads, perhaps velour or alcantara, that fit the Sony? Please describe any changes in sound. Thanks.

Bump. I'm looking for some pads that fit the MDR-1A that are deeper. Love my headphones but my ears are just a little cramped in there. Does anybody know if the Alpha pads will fit?

I know I'm raising the dead here, but:
Did @hadleyrille or @DrRocktopus find Alcantara pads for the MDR 1A?

I did find Vesper audio ( ) but the only price I could find is for their Koss ESP 950 pads (£90!), which makes me think that pads for the 1A would be out of my price range.
The Brainwavs pads online seem a lot thicker than the original pads, and aren't alcantara.

Our custom pads for MDR 1A are 62 usd for genuine black leather with fast foam, 20mm thick. Many other options available, pm me if interested.
