Why would someone choose the E10K over the Q1?

Question, as I can't find a suitable comparison anywhere.

The Q1 can act as a standalone amp, as well as being newer, so why would someone choose the (more expensive) E10K, besides the larger volume wheel?

Thanks!

  (more expensive) E10K

I'm not too sure about the sound quality with respects to the two of them, but other than Amazon giving the Q1 a 65% offer on their site, the E10k is at least 1/3 the price of a Q1.

The E10k goes for USD75 MSRP and the Q1 goes for USD199 MSRP, so there you have it. Not everyone has a budget above USD200.

EDIT: I did more research and the Q1 is certainly quite competitively priced now at multiple shops for 70 bucks. Maybe because the E10k has a coaxial output for speakers?

Right, but take a look at this:

E10K: http://camelcamelcamel.com/FiiO-E10K-Headphone-Amplifier-Black/product/B00LP3AMC2?context=browse
Q1: http://camelcamelcamel.com/Q1-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier-Black/product/B0157DKAU4?context=browse

The Q1 maintains a steady price below the E10K, proving that in the end, MSRP doesn't matter...

However, I think I'll be going with the E10K simply because it'll fit better on my laptop.

I was also thinking of going for an E10k, but seeing that it isn't portable and much better a "laptop dac/amp" rather than a mobile dac/amp, the Q1 looks better for listening on the go.

However, the Q1 is relatively new and there isn't much talk about it, and the Q1 thread here isn't as well developed as the E10k's thread.
