So I have had this idea for several months.  I wanted to make a headphone rack that would hold all of my headphones and a little basket that would hold the cables if needed.   I went to Home depot and lower to check out the prices and parts I needed and by the time I was done  I had rounded up a more money than I was willing to pay.  You may be thinking, really?  For a headphone rack/hanger?  Yes  I'm kinda OCD about how things look and its it not up to par to what I think it should look like then I scrap it.

Anyways,  So I was looking around and thinking,  there has got to be something that I could use that would be what I am looking for and would turn out nicer looking and sturdy.

I found it! and I want to share with you all.  I found the Rubbermaid Fastback system that you use in garages.   I purchased most from home depot since it was cheaper at the time than lower or online  so here is the info form their site

The basket is something from lower that is not rubbermaid but I believe something from a bathroom setup which was on the next isle,  that is if your Lowes is setup up like mine :)

Here are some pictures of the setup

I have my Headphones kinda cramped together so that you can see them all I will more than likely be purchasing another track to split these up.  They are way to cramped up for me. plus my wife's headphones are shoved all the way on the right too lol

There are some headphones that I do not have up there since they are way more valuable,  but you get the idea.

Hope this helps someone

No problem, just looks bad ass having them all on the wall. Do you know if they make those in a shorter length? Since I joined head-fi my over ear headphone count went from one to 3 lol, one being your akg m220 of course. The girlfriend lets me do whatever I want in my office so it would be nice to hang my headphones on the wall.

haha nice,  yeah that actually is the shortest one they make I believe.  I wanted one shorter before doing that  but I'm glad I didn't.   think they make an 84" too.

This honestly was the cheapest way of hanging them as well.  I was going to make my own rack but it was $30 more and would have looked like crap compared to something like this plus I can move the hangers around.   If you only have a few headphones that you are wanting to hang.  Try making like a hat rack.  Nice 36" 1 x 3 piece of wood and then get you some of those 2 inch pegs to screw into it  nd then a small hook under the pegs for the cable and there you go a make shift headphone rack!

Thanks that's a good idea! I just don't want to hang them over the edge of my office chair or leave them laying around. I guess the 48 inch may be fine too, could always find other things to hang, like some of my pc build tools in a basket.
