iCAN micro SE – intergalactic launch competition

May the Force be with you

The micro iCAN (original) was for a while, the #1 rated headphone amplifier on Head-Fi. We’re over the moon to announce the launch of the all-new micro iCAN Special Edition. We are quietly confident it will reclaim top-spot.

Also, as we are as avid fans of Star Wars as the next guy (or gal), we cannot wait for the next exciting installment. Well, for the launch of the micro iCAN Special Edition (which has a fair chunk of upcoming Pro iCAN’s DNA in there) we wanted to do something really neat. With its also being Christmas, we are going to hit this competition out of the galaxy.

You head-fi’ers are cordially invited to be a part of this intergalactic launch competition.

micro iCAN Special Edition – with DNA from the Pro iCAN

  • Headamp Turbo of 4000mW – almost as much power as the Death Star’s planet destroying superlaser. It is drives IEMs right through to the HE-6.
  • Class A TubeState® - more refinement and finesse than Queen Amidala’s Nubian Star Skiff.
  • XBass® - updated and more adaptable than the revered X-Wing fighter. With different bass settings it can go as low as an attack run to destroy the Death Star.
  • 3D Holographic for Headphones® - more spacious, as impressive as the the grand hall at the end of A New Hope.
  • DirectDrive® - most direct path, just like the Millennium Falconmaking a jump to light speed

All in all, the micro iCAN Special Edition is a little special. We hope you are ready for it to take your headphones to Jedi master level.

This Christmas, the iFi/Meze Santa will deliver ‘Out of this Galaxy’ prizes to 10 lucky winners

Skin and her friends will be the judges. Their decision is final!

The winners will be announced one week or so later.

The budding X-Wing pilots among you will have noticed we have joint up with Meze headphones. Over the coming weeks, they will contribute technical articles on the design of their fabulous headphones.

More still, everyday few days, one lucky winner will be chosen at random to win a special mystery prize from Meze or iFi audio.

Don your helmets and buckle-up. This competition is more exciting than a Rebel attack on the Death Star!

And of may the Force be with you all!

What a galactic upgrade in output power from 400mw to 4watts! Glad they kept the 2-level bass boost of the iCan Micro (the new iCan Pro has a fixed +3DB at different bass frequencies, that feature didn't trickle down).

I can't believe how well Disney has stoked the Star Wars hype machine.  The last three Lucas scripted movies were execrable and still years later people are ready to line up for a film made by a director who has never made a good movie (or TV show).  In fact the director of the new Star Wars films is responsible for the two dumbest Star Trek movies in the history of the franchise.  Nostalgia is a scarily powerful thing.

P.S. The Micro Ican does look like a nice little amp.  I'm guessing it'll be a lot better than the upcoming film.

Young Chewey : "These things sure get the Endor-phines going, listening to Figrin D´an and the Modal Nodes in quad R2DSD2 iCan almost picture myself back at the Mos Eisley Cantina"

Is that a distant cousin of Chewie?  Good idea and good quote. That's the way to do it!
