http://store.yahoo.com/decibelchicago/gradrefrs1he.html

decibel audio seems to have a good price ($600 as oppose to the $700 sticker price) but if you want the best return policy around, it's a given you go to www.headphone.com and buy them. since you've never heard them, i'd probably go with headphone.com, then you have thirty days to return them. besides, they're good people at headphone.com and a pleasure to deal with.

Call Decibel and talk to Jeremy he will give you a better price than what is listed on the site.Tell him the Firefighter sent you.BTW, that's me in the pic on the front page.http://www.decibelaudio.com

Be careful about those great prices you see from unknown dealers.
If you ever need service they might not be around (or willing) to help.
If you are committed to making a >$500 investment then trying to squeeze an extra 10-15% discount might be penny wise/ pound foolish.
Please try to support the legitimate dealers out there.

Well I purchased them about 15 months ago from a fellow in California that is an authorized Grado dealer. He was advertising on Ebay. Since, I sold my RS1's about 9 months ago I'm pretty sure I threw out the paperwork. I'll try looking again.

Jim,
About a 10 months ago, and about 2 months after buying the RS1's, Apheared loaned me his Grado SR325's (with flat donut pads) for an evaluation. Once I heard them with the flat donut pads I fell in love with them and immediately put my RS1's up for sale, brought a pair of 325's and started a 2 month quest to obtain the older out of production flat donut pads. I owned the HD-600 for a short time but sold them once I heard the Grado sound. I prefer that up close on stage presentation of Grado's compared to the 10th row sound of the HD-600's. As far as an amp goes (as my picture shows) I'm also using the Sugden Headmaster. It is a great amp! Thanks to M.Briant for recommending it to me!
