Hi all,

Still struggling with finding a suitable amp to use with my little dot MKIII.

I have a Modern Yamaha (RXV447) receiver and was wondering whether it would be AC coupled and suitable to use with the LD?

The Little DOT MKIII is a headphone amplifier, why would you need another "amplifier" to use with it (Yamaha or other)?

Sorry, I meant to use the LD as a preamp.

Guess you could use the LD MKII as a pre-amp with the Yamaha receiver.
RCA output on the LD MKII to the RCA inputs on the Yamaha receiver.
What sources would you be connecting the LD/Yamaha to?

Hey,

Lossless (flac) from a Fiio X3 and / or laptop.

My concern is whether the Yamaha is A/C coupled as I believe it is a definite no-no to use the LD with a D/C amp.

Your really just running the analog audio signal thru the LD MKIII, on it's way to the Yamaha, can't see any real issues with that.
Might get a feed back loop if the Yamaha and the LD are plugged into the same power socket (surge protector), so try to keep that separate.
