I currently have a Fiio E17 DAC/Amp combo. Looking at getting a dedicated headphone amp and want to bypass the amp on the E17. I looked at doing this and I need to buy a Fiio L7 which I can only find on ebay for ~$70 CAD which I think is a bit outrageous for an adapter.
 
That being said I've also heard about the ODAC which is ~$250 CAD. Will I notice a significance difference by getting a whole new DAC entirely?
 
I figured if I'm going to have to shell out for this adapter maybe I might have some better option? Also open to any other suggestions.
