The c&c bk portable amp. Is a fantastic amp which performs above its asking price of 89.00. I a/b tested it against the fiio e11, 12, & 12a and it was a noticeable difference. 30 hrs. Battery life as well

  There are lots.

SMSL and Aune are two companies that immediately come to mind. Technically Fiio is too.

Check out those two sites for some very nice equipment you don't normally see.

Thank you all for your feedback.

The C&C BK seems to be a nice option. The battery back up also seems to be very good.

Guys, I had a small freak out with the A2 this morning.

Fired up the X7 and plugged in the A2.

The left channel sounded like schiit. I thought it might be a problem with the source but it wasn't. Then thought maybe it was how the left channel was seated in my ear. I adjusted it and heard a lot of driver flex.

I'm thinking the A2 dynamic driver got flexed out of position. I blew some air in the A2, plugged it back in and now it sounds fine.

Any of you guys have this happen?

Has any one come out with a detailed review of the the A2s yet? Don't seem to find anything online.

An A-B comparison with other IEMs would also be nice.

Agreed! And post it here!

This is a solid lineup!

with a worrying cone issue...hope that was something else, and the cones are not flipping out the way due to an excess rim size...

I think cone excursion range is the technical term...

Guys, how does this compare with TF10 I need to replace mine and this seems tempting but also seems like a risk because money is limited and if anything goes wrong with this there probably is nothing I can do.

No tf10. As far as I know, Bass and vocal should be much better than tf10.

Thank you. I am leaving my preferences below. If anyone can let me know if this suits me I would be thankful. Does anyone from Houston own these? Also, if anything goes wrong with them I assume I just need to forget about these as they wont have any warranty or such.

Hi guys, I lost one nozzle of my TF10 recently, so I am without an IEM. Though I don't really have much money right now, I need to spend some to replace the TF10. But since I'm being forced to spend money that I wasn't prepared to spend I want this to be anupgrade over the TF10. I want to spend as low as possible and would place the upper limit at maybe $200 unless something truly amazing is available for a little more. But still I would like to get the best value for whatever I'm spending. Finally my experience till now has always been with IEMs and I'm thinking of experimenting with cans too this time if they offer better sound for the money.

My experience with IEMs I owned and what I liked and disliked about them:

Brainwavz M3:
Beautiful mids, very sweet and musical, loved these but bass was slightly lacking and slow and soundstage was pretty small and everything was congested

TF10:
Punchy fast bass(just the right amount), nice detail and separation and reasonable soundstage but of course mids were a bit lacking and soundstage could have been better. Fit was not an issue for me

I believe I have given an idea about what I like. I want to have the good things I have mentioned and want to have an improvement over the bad things. I know it looks like I'm wanting the world for what I want to pay, but I'm trying to squeeze my dollar.

I listen to a huge variety of genres from orchestral/classical to rock and everything in between. I use these both at home nd while commuting using public transport. I am willing to consider used if they are worth it. Please give me your recommendations at various price points for both IEMs and cans. Thank you.

just a quick question,

Hows the clarity and resolution on this IEM? based on my assumption from one of the impressions, it is greater than IE800 which is for me it is so good.

It's quite good for sucha warm and bassy signature. That being said I don't think it's their strongest point and the ATH-CKR9/10 for example outperform it by some margin in those areas.

Haven't heard the IE800 though....
