So, im in market for a new DAC, since i like quite neutral gear i thought, why not give those benchmark dacs a try. So, now im pondering 3 things:
 
1: What is the sonic difference between the DAC1 (normal) driven by a M2Tech Hiface 2 and a DAC1 USB?
2: Is the DAC1 still worth getting in the first place? Or are their better dacs in the same price range avalible now (range is about 500 (euro).
3: Would the DAC2 be a significant upgrade from the DAC1?
 
If the DAC1 is not worth getting anymore, then what dac would be?
 
Also has anyone had any experience using the DAC1 and Hiface 2 together?
 
Oh, and i like the sound of those AKM DAC chips, all but one of my current dacs have AKM Chips in them.

Well i went with a DAC1 driven by a Creative EMU1820 for now. And i am loving the sound. Its as if the picture painted by the music now comes into focus.
