Hi everyone, 
 
So I've been kicking around a couple kooky ideas in my head. 
 
Gear in my possession: ATH-M50, Bowers & Wilkins P7, Fiio A3, iPhone 6+, Laptop. Most of my music is Youtube rips (I know) and I do have some FLAC files in the mix. 
 
Anyway, here's some setups and I'd like to know your thoughts: 
 
1. iPhone to Fiio A3 via Headphone Out to B&W P7. 
2. iphone connected to Lightning-to-30-pin adapter (which I think has a DAC in it) to Fiio A3 to B&W P7. 
 
I play FLAC files through VLC. 
 
Would setup 2 provide any benefits?
