LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG

Doesnt work with neutron, and the stock app or google play dont play alac. So i have to rerip all my alac files to flac, not a huge deal though.

And i can see why some people are not hearing a difference. Pressing the hifi button on an app that works with the hifi mode with my RE-Zero in ears you hear the audio cut out when it switches like it should, but when it resumes the volume is pretty much the same. With the Q701 the voulume is about half as loud when you turn hifi mode off.

Exactly! How do you like it so far ?

All ive done with it so far is listen to music, write on here and texted the wife real quick. Just got home from an hour drive back home. It charged and played muaic thru my car stereo the whole way home.

For music with hifi enabled its sick. Sounds crazy clear and detailed, gets the Q701 crazy loud.

Ive never had a phone with a screen this big. So far i like it. Typing on it it awesome. Getting a lot less typos with the bigger keyboard on the bigger screen.

some initial reads:

Sadly I think th dweebs over at phonearena, did the audiotest with the onboard snapdragon, as the volt results, are exactly equal to snapdragon 808/

That is most definitely without the ess amp in the loop. The m9 puts out 1.3 and the V10 with hifi enabled is definitely just as loud or louder.

Isn't there a program to turn alac into flac?

I am using dBpoweramp Music Converter (though most of the time I use the Batch Converter).

Hey guys I just got my v10 today and I'm trying to find out what's a good native Flash Player for Android I don't mind having to pay for something I just don't want any ads

I use an old android adobe flash player from the archive:

Honestly, I wound up with the  Onkyo HF Player, has a nice 11 band EQ going down to 32hz, though having the EQ turned off yeilds a cleaner sound

but I like the interface, not as bright an colorful as googles Music app an it's free with no Ads plus I can pay like $10 an get support for USB dacs via OTG cables, so that's nifty [I've got a HM901 that won't b replaced any time soon xD] though ironically, I might find a better USB dac for around the same price :O now that I think about it

Either way, I'll say the V10 is a step above my little Berhninger UAC 202, though that's only via the Headphone out on the UAC 202 [it has nice left n right seperation, but gawd it's noisy [crappy amp paired with a great dac]

Though Power wise, the V10 does just fine, with my MS1i it's not...  super clean at max volume. I've got more headroom with the UAC 202 sadly
Still, the V10's not to shabby. The HM901 is dead [like it always is. I swear Battery life on that thing is UNreal, need to get a 901u or s] so I can't compare it. Though I have a feeling it won't be needed. I've driven my MS1i out of the hm901 many times an the v10 not quite as clean or spacious. how ever, the ESS chip is retaining it's sig punchy dynamic sound! Same as it's present in my HM901 an NFB10ES2, just without the refinement of either

still, the question is how does it compare to my old iPod nano :O

Did a quickie 's the 901. Both onboard amp out db matched,

The v10 didn't have the refinement. It sounded a little excessive in the decay n lacked top end extension. We won't even start with sound stage an imaging

I used a lossless copy of Kool Keith's lost in space. Big drums on that track an a high hat that shifts between the left n right channels.

Still the phone sounds good. I bought it to do video reviews primarily. N it'll do just fine there. Audio qualities not bad either. Better than a lot if what's out there

I'm more interested in Meizu pro 5 comparison. However it isn't released yet is it?

And nobody will believe me when I say Meizu M1 Note has better audio output than AP100 but actually it is:)

Me too. The Pro5 seems to be delayed due to flooding in the factory in China(from what I've read). I needed a new phone now so picked a LG G3 for cheap until the alternatives get clearer.
