I dont like anything overpowering another.
Needs great sound isolation, as I'll be using these for the gym, and if I go out.
$100-150.

m50x is not flat! m40x is more flat..

I'd choose Yamaha MT220!

I personally wouldn't recommend the Audio Technica M50(x). It's a little bit bassy, and only attenuates about 12 decibles of outside noise.

Audio-Technica ATH-M40X, Brainwavz HM5, Shure SRH-440/840 (May be other of the Shures too).
