Hi everyone and thanks for your time.

I have a very limited knowledge of how amplifiers and speakers work together but I would like to install a nexus 7 in my car as the head unit.

I have a toyota yaris 2006 and therefore I can't use the stock head unit for anything, it doesn't have aux or anything, only cd..

I have been reading a lot and some people say you have to use both a DAC and an amplifier, but I don't know what to believe.. I can say that my budget is really limited therefore, I don't have a lot of money to make mistakes (by ordering wrong items) and I can't buy too expensive equipment..

I have an idea and would like to hear what you think in especially 2 areas, is this even possible? And will the sound coming out be something worth listening to?

My idea is to use the Aux output from the tablet into an amplifier which goes out to the speakers..

The amp I have been looking at is this one, http://m.aliexpress.com/item/1823021904.html

Is this possible or can I do it better at the same amount of money by modifying my stock head unit? So it accepts aux?

I would replace the stock headunit with an aftermarket headunit with an aux in. Easiest thing to do. Will sound decent. If you want to delete your ex. Headunit entirely you will need an amp. I would use a 4 channel to best power all your speakers, but with an amp you will need an installation kit with power and ground wiring, a connector going from the nexus to the amp and a switch on the remote wire to turn the amp on and off.

This is a great answer!! Thank you.. You just confirmed me in something, me and a friend talked about yesterday. I'm gonna use a aftermarket cheap stereo, with AUX input.

I have two questions for you, is there some specifications for a aftermarket head unit, that is important to look for when buying?

second question is: i would like to install the aftermarket head unit and then adjust everything so it works, and then put it behind the nexus 7. But if I want to do this, then i need the radio to turn on when i switch the ignition to on, and also keep the same sound level. Is this called something speciel or is it something you normally can change the settings for on a head unit?

Thank you for your help.
