This is a great idea!  My question is, when going through checkout for an audition headphone, it says your credit card will be "authorized but not charged".  Does that mean a hold is placed for the total cost of the headphones, or just like a $1 authorization?

And, yes, there is a hold placed equivalent to the total cost of the products you are auditioning. It will then be released once you return the products and you will only be charged the cost of your purchase or the $30 audition fee should you choose not to purchase. Sounds like a great program.  Once I stop traveling 100% of the time I will take advantage of it.

Hi gameon,
 
We realize 3 days is probably not ideal for you all here on head-fi, but, at the moment, our Audition inventory is low, so we want to make sure there is a decent turn-around time for everyone taking advantage of the program. In the future when we have more Audition stock on hand, we'll be able to allow a longer Audition time. Hope that helps explain a little of our reasoning behind this!

So you guys said after 3 days, there will be a charge of $10 / day for late return.  But in your Audition Me guide, you guys said on Day 4, ship the item back to you guys.  But most of the time it will take another 2 or 3 days before it gets to you guys, so that's like Day 6 or Day 7.
 
So can you guys please explain this more clearly.
 
Also where do you guys locate at? like what state?
