Hello, Head-Fi 
Unfortunately, the Ultrasone DJ1 cans that I've had for four years, thanks to the wonderful members here that recommended them to me, have bit the bullet. While I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my DJ equipment, I forgot they were still plugged into the headphone jack, which caused the 3.5mm plug to literally snap off. I had to pull it out of its 6.5mm adapter.
SO I NEED SOME NEW HEADPHONES! AGAIN..........YAY.
Anyway, as of now I have narrowed my choices down to the Beats Mixrs and the AIAIAI TMA-2.
Reasons why I'm looking at the Mixrs:
A. I can get used, genuine Beats for cheap, literally half the price of the TMA-2.
B. They sound like a louder version of the Ultrasone DJ1, and I'm a fan of that sound signature.
C. They clamp really hard, so they're great for DJ'ing. I DJ college bars close to the university I attend.
Reasons why I'm looking at the TMA-2:
A. Modular; breaks aren't costly repairs (HUGE bonus)
B. The look; they don't stick out like a sore thumb eg Beats
C. Over-ear cups.
Whatever headphone you suggest must include a detachable cable! This is literally the fourth pair of headphones in the last seven years to fail simply because something went bad with the cable (three Sennheiser HD205's back in high school), so I MUST HAVE A HEADPHONE WITH A DETACHABLE CABLE, NO EXCEPTIONS. Preferably a more universal design so I don't have to look hard, pay a fortune, and wait forever for a replacement cable. Oh, one last thing, my budget is $300 MAX, shipping & tax included. I'm open to on-ear (only if they're comfortable/great DJ cans), over-ear (personal favorite), or IEM's (never owned a pair with a response as fun as an over-ear can like the Ultrasone DJ1).
So if anyone has a suggestion/piece of advice, please comment below. All help is appreciated

I broke my headphones I bought thanks to a Head-Fi recommendation four years ago. I'm a DJ. Recommend a good DJ and/or basshead (priority) can that can also serve well for daily use. Currently looking at Beats Mixr and AIAIAI TMA-2, basshead, not a fan of harsh treble, mainly listen to Hip-Hop/Rap, EDM (Trap, Deep House, House, Hardstyle, Twerk, Moombah, etc), a little bit of Rock. The first two genres are my mains. Nothing higher than $300 please, and must have a detachable cable, no exceptions. I'd prefer not to completely drain my wallet so quickly. Prefer comfort, not necessary since I won't wear them for long periods of time. In-line mic is a bonus.

Can anyone explain to me what that dip at around 4 KHz means? Just saw this graph based on a configuration of the TMA-2 and I don't exactly understand what's going on there.
