First of all hi everyone it's my first post in this forum:wink:

As for my question I need headphone amp for mentioned headphones , as for now I am using prodigy cube amp/dac with muse8820 opamp full spec of cube : Specifications of Cube:

USB Interface: 1.1/2.0
Support: 24 bits/96 KHZ
Headphone Impedance: 16-150 ohms
Op-Amp: muse8820
D/A Converter: WM8776
USB DAC: Tenor TE7022L
Dynamic Range: 108dB
Input: USB, Mic
Output: Headphone, Line, Digital, Coaxial

In pair with ath m50x it is good but I am afraid when He400i arrive, amp of it will be insufficient to drive them properly , can you help choose proper one for this headphones my budget for it is 200eur

So far my attention heading for :

Aune B1 as portable and A class sufficient

Fioo e12 same as above

Fioo e09k as stand alone

Little dot mkII

And if in any way my dac is bad
Maybe aune t1 mkII as combo dac/amp

I will be very grateful for your help and suggestions kind regards in advance

FYI, the HE400i sounds excellent even from a Schiit Fulla. My advice would be to wait until you can hear it on your system, then if you want a better amp, go for an affordable desktop amp. (I owned the Schiit Magni 2 Uber at one point and liked it.)

The main problem here is that I don't see any listed output power specs for your amp. (I looked.) If you can find those specs, I could give you a better idea of things, but you'll need to test it on your system either way to assess how it sounds to you.

As for other amps, I can post the power requirements for the HE400i, if you like.

You should also look into headphone modifications for the HE400i to enhance the sound. The one I owned had the grill mod.

From 6.3mm port my ath m50x with volume control set for about 25% are in my max comfortable loudness beyond it lets say in 60 % power i can use them as mini speakers on ears feeling like standing near concert speakers or good floorstanders loud but not any distortion when i use app to measure db noise and close cans over mic of my note 4 it is showing 85dB but it stops around 70% and not showing beyond because hardware limitations of cell phone mic that was in disclaimer of this app on ears at max it making me fell pain like feeling so i guees it has some potential in terms of power but i dont know what kind of current and mamp it is passing to headphones i must seek my old multimeter and cut some old headphone cable and measure it , then it will have some more scientific background less witchcraft :p and about modding i am in middle of ordering some smc connectors and making my own braid cable and maybe adapter from smc to something that will come to my mind latter

You should be pleasantly surprised at how much better the HE400i sounds than the M50x.

The Little Dot mkII is only 100mw into 32 ohms. I would rule it out. The Schiit Fulla, 200mw into 32 ohms. Depending on your listening volumes, might not be enough.

The Aune T1 would be my choice out of your list. Will easily power the HE-400i to very loud volumes.

Thx for reply ,and to be honest i dont like to listen music loud  fulla is a little trouble for me in europe ,it's hard to get here ,I probably chose aune B1 because i move a lot and portable size will be much easier to take with me  may i ask something in your opinion how He 400i compare to He 400s ? are 400s big downgrade?

I have only heard the HE-400, not the 400i or 400s.

From what I have heard, they have different sonic signatures. So don't think of one as a downgrade, but that the sonic signature of one or the other would be a better fit for you.

Well, if you want a different headphone suggestion that is cheaper than the HE-400i, I sold my HE-400 once I got the AGK K7XX. Massdrop has them available every so often for $200, and they will use a forwarding service ($25 extra) to ship to Europe: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/akg-k7xx-massdrop-first-edition-headphones. These are a revised version of the K702. Lots of discussion of them here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/743280/the-akg-k7xx-massdrop-first-edition-thread

I'm sure that i want he400i or other planar maybe lcd2.2 or even he560i ,i know akg 7xx is decent but two things that bother me are tax and custom fee as first one ,and second one they are big  i know hifiman isn't small either but i heard somebody saying you can see ear pads in angle of your eye on akg's  ;P ,by the way i forget to mention that i am happy that headphones exist in first place i mean when i sold my stereo system i was so sad ,and in deep of my imagination i didn't realize that there are such nice sounding small things  ,for me headphones was mostly simple ones for max 30 $ ,but for my luck it was some ignorance on my side :)

Yeah. I'm wearing them right. If I look all the way left or right, I can just see the edge of the earphone out of the corner of my eye. But otherwise, I don't notice. :)
