FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

Thanks, that's the answer I was hoping for! I don't suppose you tried/owned the Phonak Audeo PFE 112 or 122 earphones did you? If so do you have any comparisons of them with the FLC8s? They're the other pair of IEMs I have at the moment and they provide a much better fit and isolation than the Atlas, just lacking the bass and the tuneable sound I am looking for. Apologies for all the questions, I'm just trying to build a picture of what they might be like in comparison to the IEMs I have owned recently.

If I tried them, was too many years ago, have no idea how do they compare now, but one thing is certain, we are talking totally different leagues.

I own both the Phonaks and the FLC. If you like the Phonaks you will LOVE the FLC. The FLC has better speed, definition and extension at both ends of the frequency spectrum. Overall clarity is significantly better, and the Phonaks are no slouch in that area. With the red sub-bass tuning, the FLC puts more of an emphasis on low bass than the Phonaks with the black or green filter which emphasize mid to upper bass. Isolation is going to be largely individual dependent. I get a deep insertion and tight seal with both and would say they are similar. Vocals are clearer, better defined and more intimate on the FLC. Let me know of of you have any further comparison questions.

I don't think there is a plural form for genres haha. You don't say pops or trances or classicals or hiphops, sounds funny

That's only because with your examples, there is no singular: there isn't "a pop" or "a trance" (related to music) or "a hiphop". There is such a thing as "a ballad", it's a specific piece of music. "Ballads" is perfectly accurate; in fact, saying "the genre of ballad" sounds weird.

I guess it depends on what genre it is, but I stand corrected for ballad. However some genres don't really work with plural form. I don't even know why this is even discussed here, my bad ^^

LOL this is kind of hilarious haha ballad or ballads lmao
