I like my bass but yeah wont enjoy if it muddles the midrange,
Currently got red grey gold.
I haven't noticed it was doing so untill I tried clear-none-gold. The difference is quite night and day.

Red is a mess. I was blinded by the thunderous bass that bleed into the higher frequencies. But it's bassheads choice for sure. Glad I've tried clear-none-gold out.
Huh, I definitely didn't experience that with the red filters. I admit I am turning into a fit of a bass head but red-gray-gold still seems a bit of a distance from a bass head tuning. Haven't tried red-black-gold as it might push the bass into the mids, which I also dislike. I will also try your suggested configuration. I expect I will find it bass light for my preference, but that's why you play the game, right?
I agree red grey gold is far from basshead. no muddyness.
red-gray-green here
i find the red for sub-bass is great, it does not bleed into the other ranges. however the black plug for the bass does exactly that and covers up some of the mids and highs.
Glad you like it. Clear-none-gold is my favorite set-up as well. Without using tones, it definitely sounded the most linear to me out of the combinations I tried.
Has anyone else noticed how the price on LMUE changes almost hourly? Could this be a sign of an upcoming Chinese New Year sale?
