That is because I screwed up. I am waiting for the right figures after some more testing. I can say it will power about anything and do it well.

I highly doubt DX80 will be flagship, more a DX50 upgrade imo, my interest is whether DX80 outperforms DX90, then onwards, Obviously iBasso won't want to say too much because they want thier focus here without distraction or people saying 'I'm waiting for the DXblah blah then'. Simply bad marketing tactics if they say things too early.

Agreed.
 
Still, on paper, the DX80 is every bit a contender to the DX90's throne. It's only good news for consumers - great sound at a good price. Unlike the ever pricier AK DAPs, the iBasso and FiiO players are leading the way with some really good price-to-performance numbers.

I'll throw a further spanner into the works here, something I witnessed in one of the threads when we found out DX50 and DX90 were discontinued.

Someone asked Paul if they were replacing them.

Paul said: "there will be more DAPs"

Notice that big bolded "s" on the end gave it away :wink:

Heh. The letters "p" and "s" are too far apart for that to be an honest mistake. Good catch!
