i need to replace a sony mdr/cd 770 with something as good. it was 200$ back in 1999 so i know i must spend at least that now. i loved the bass and the open spaciousness of those old phones. any suggestions, thanks

Since your cans are at least 16 years old and out of production, you'll have to describe their sound signature for most posting here to be of help. Comparing it to a more current can will also be helpful.
