I am wondering if anyone has done any quick mods on this iem, specifically to keep the sound from dropping out from bad wiring connections? (I have done a quick search-nothing).

I have just received a replacement for my original ones (out of warranty) that that started dropping the sound because the connection became bad at the plug in to the phone. Has anyone tried taping (really the only thing I can think of that is relatively easy) the wire to the plug?

I was thinking of wrapping black electrical tape around it at the connection to keep it from giving it play.
