Dunu DN1000 upgrade

Mine are broken :frowning2: due to bad cable which is only fault on these. It got stuck in one position then over time cable snapped. :frowning2: There is not meant to be huge difference between this and fideu a73 but a73 meant to be slightly better with good cable. Might go for that.

You could try finding someone to recable them, might cost you around $60.

I have been scouring all over the forums trying to figure out how I could go about getting my dn1000s recabled and this is the only mention of it Other than doing it yourself (which I do NOT trust myself to do).  Is this something that I would find another user on head-fi to do and/or are there professionals I should be able to locate (either physically or online)?  Also does the $60 price still seem reasonable?  That would make the prospect of recabling more attractive than buying a new pair of something...Id really appreciate your thoughts!
 
Also, OP:  what DID you end up going with?  If I decide to replace mine, I would welcome ideas...

I upgraded my Dunu dn 1000 to im03 that I bought used for like $250
