over-ear closed-back HP under $500 - impressions / recommendations

To be completely honest, I don't want to spend TOOOOOOO much on closed-back headphones, because I plan on building a sound setup for home use in the near future with a good DAC+AMP combo (Magni 2 uber + Modi 2 uber) and a quality open-back headphones (looked into the Sennheiser HD600 a lot). For my needs and future projects, I think that $500 is more than enough for a closed-back HP lol

Ah, I see. Well, the Focal Spirit Professional is $349 and the Yamaha HPH-MT220 was $150 but is now $250 from most stores. (Its MSRP is $399.) That non-detachable cable could be a problem, though. I used to own the HD 650. I actually like it more than every other Sennheiser, though I haven't heard the legendary Orpheus HE 90 or the HD 600 yet.

About In Flames...I've only seen them live once, in 2004. Got to meet Jesper! He signed my shirt, which I never washed again. lol. I'm assuming you've heard all their stuff.

I will look into your recommendations !

About In Flames, yeah I know most of their stuff. Their setlist was so insane, I'm nostalgic just talking about it right now lol
