OK...this is embarrassing.
I want to change some EQ titles again but I'm having a problem... again.
I got up to editing the names and saving the changes.
But, when I exit the x5ii folder the pack.bat is gone from the Default FW_1.0 folder.
???
I'd love for my X5ii to display info like this:
1. No # next to the volume. Let there be a number displayed when the change is happening. 3 output curves show up as you increase the volume, but when the volume reaches 100, the 3rd curve, just becomes red. Numbers look nasty.
2. Instead of showing the status of the EQs using Text "EQ = OFF" just grey out an EQ icon.
3. Whats the point of showing the memory card? Its not like you can play music without it. Take it off.
4. Artwork shown in whole. Nothing should overlay it.
5. Retrieve year info and © info from the tags.
6. ALWAYS show file specs. Type/Bitrate/Sample-rate.
Something like...

1. You could actually just keep that numbers near the volume icon, then just make the last wave of the icon red too, if you wanted. I would really want those numbers on the screen, and so will most people, I see little usage for leaving them out.
2. That would be something, but then, it would be way too much work to change EQ preset shown from text to an actual icon. Though it might be something for the better.
3. Simple and possible to be done.
4. NO. Artwork needs to stay as big as possible. I would be much less bothered by the fact that something is over artwork than by the fact that artwork is small.
5. While year might be handy for some, and even more for bands that have multiple versions of albums and remasters (like sonata arctica), showing C and R would consume more screen space, while not showing anything very useful IMHO.
6. Probably useful, has been asked already, has not been shown. I think in X7, you can see this data if you tap on the screen, but otherwise it would clutter the screen without being too helpful. I mean, you know what that file is when you copy it on the cards. You do not know bitrate and bit depth, but again, not very relevant.
You can put the covers in paint.net and create borders ensuring everything is shown.
The border will be white unless you tint it like I did here.
Here I added more top to keep a full-screen but clear anything up top that might be obstructed like a title. (outlined in red to show up here)
Hi All.
Here is my theme pack for FiiO X5ii based on TCD1975 X1 themes:
Main features (over stock):
- Heavy optimized and high contrast themes graphics
- Tiny size (~10Mb), lightspeed.
(For US/EU/JP only - without Chinese/Thai/Korean font and language)
- Without boot / shutdown animation (fast boot / shutdown speed)
- Supports special USB DAC Driver for PCs (Download);
(All win support, do not require to disable driver signing);
- Other small fixes in sys.bin.
Enjoy.
