I just got a new X1, and transferred approximately 8000 songs from my computer to the player. After media update the device is only showing 5800 songs available. Is there any way for me to tell which artists/albums are not playable? Is there a maximum number of songs I can have?

Thanks, anyone, for the help.

Maybe the thread should be "Apparently lost music on FiiO X1."

I just loaded 26 more songs on the devices and checked to make sure they show up and are playable. All the tracks are on the device, and it plays all of them, but the X1 is still telling me I only have 5800 tracks.

Looks to me like a flaw in the firmware. Am I correct?

They will all show in folder view.  A flaw to some, but FiiO doesn't feel he need to do away with it on the X1.  It's not an issue on the X3II or X5.

I figured out that everything's visible in folder view. I do worry that when I'm in shuffle mode, my favorite way to listen, I'm not going to get the full selection. I can live with the inaccurate number if I know I'm getting everything.

The X1 sounds GREAT, much better than my old Zen, although the Zen had some features that make it easier to use.

Thanks for your response. It helps.
