Looking for some headphones around $100 (Canadian dollars)
I don't know much about headphones, but I think I want some good bass-ey headphones just for home use.

Here are some headphones I was thinking about:
http://www.amazon.ca/AKG-240-Semi-Open-Studio-Headphones/dp/B0001ARCFA/ref=sr_1_34?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1432414933&sr=1-34&keywords=headphones

http://www.amazon.ca/Audio-Technica-ATH-M40x-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00HVLUR54?SubscriptionId=AKIAJM4NKIQGABP2PIRA&tag=thewire06-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00HVLUR54&ascsubtag=WC20740

And please only put Canadian links (like amazon.ca). Headphones get a lot more expensive outside of America
Also it would be nice to have a detachable cable, I have a habit of breaking the cables by getting up too fast or running the cord over with my chair. I was thinking of wireless, but I feel like they would sacrifice a lot of sound quality...

First, be wary that "bassy" is relative to listener tastes. So it will be a bit hard for anyone to know what you mean is bassy without some kind of comparison, some headphones that you have heard that sound bassy enough (or not).

Maybe Donscorpio Dolphins?

Penon Audio is an international vendor, so perhaps their prices are good for your exchange right (I don't know).

Those headphones look pretty good. After doing some research I think instead of bassy, I want more of a warm sound. It would be nice to have headphones that can handle a wide range of sounds but i can see how those two wouldn't work well together. I tried doing some research on them but they seem to be pretty underground. And while I was reasearching I read a post by you that you bought them so it would be nice to know what you think about them :p

The headphones are $99 USD or around $120 CAD which puts them in direct competition with the Audio Technica M40X (which I was already starting to want to get)
The M40X look a little bit more comfortable (the pads on the Dolphins don't look all that comfy and I would be wearing these for long periods)

Since you own them could you give your opinion on them?
Are they comfy?
Do you think they do best in a specific category (mids/highs etc.) or are they pretty equal across the boards?
Headband looks a little flimsy, is it?
What's up with those removable cords on both sides?
Also a little off-topic but what colour do you have?

They are comfy to me, but I don't wear headphones for long hours.

You can plug the cable in either side.

Mine were that champagne color.

Well, thanks for your help but I think I'm going to go for the ATH-M40X. The Dolphins looked good but I don't think its worth any trouble dealing with international shipping or any conversion costs or anything. I guess this thread is closed (Although I don't see any way to officially close it)
Thanks for your help
