i just returned a pair of A2+
excessive missing of bass frequency, not with musics ( with music is ok and no need sub ) but with games ..... its evident.
I was considering the A2+ and the A5+. But given that I can place the speakers about 3 feet apart to the sides of my 27" monitor, I thought I'll go with the A2+.
I'm not sure if the low bass would be sufficient. Since I've a spare Energy S8 sub, I'm thinking of using that with the A2+.
Anyone have experience with using a sub with the A2+?
So my plans are to sandwich my 34-inch dell monitor in between either the A2+ or the A5+ on my 96-inch tabletop. I don't really use speakers, I much prefer headphones for privacy. I want the A2+ because it is cheap and better because I won't use them very much, but I prefer the convenience of the volume button being at the front of the A5+. I also like how the A5+ fits well with the size of my desktop. HEWWPPP!! I was thinking I could buy the A2+ and buy the subwoofer with the extra money

The A5+ suffers from a smiliar problem.
I owned a pair of A5+'s for a little over a year and I found that the A5+'s had too much mid bass, not enough sub bass, and the highs were just OK. I ended up selling them, and now I own a pair of Fluance SX6 bookshelf speakers along with a Topping TP22 amp, and they sound much better to my ears. Sub bass is still lacking slightly, but not as bad as the A5+. The tweeters on the SX6 are lot better than the A5+'s.
I don't know how the A5+'s get such stellar reviews. For that price, I'd rather buy a pair of JBL LSR305's. Heck, my $100CAD Fluance SX6's sound better.
